Oppressed Nations Struggle for Freedom

About this event

Hosted by Union of People's Democratic Republics of Himalaya Oppressed people of Kashmir, Kurdistan, Cataloina, Palestinian and many other nations have been struggling for the Freedom and Independence of their people and lands. Hundreds of thousands have lost their lives during the process. In February 1984 comrade Maqbool Bhatt Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front was hanged after a summary trail in Tahaar jail in Dehli. Ever since Maqbool Bhat has been a symbol of the unrelenting struggle of the oppressed people of Himalaya. On February 10 2018 we commemorate his 34th death anniversary. It is in this regard that we are holding a seminar in Glasgow. In this seminar we look at the prospects of a wider unity among the people of the oppressed nations.
