Glasgow Take over

916RIC Glasgow Take Over Glasgow Take over

On the 30th of August we want to turn Glasgow City Centre into a hub of information, stalls, outreach and engagement for independence. We want to build a huge atmosphere in the city, register people to vote, debate and discuss with the thousands of shoppers and passers by and mobilise a big Yes victory in the city. The plan: Meet 12 noon at the top of Buchanan Street by the steps. After a short photo shoot we will divide into groups to join Gazebos with speaker systems on: - Argyle St - Sauchiehall St - Buchanan St. These Gazebos will have thousands of leaflets, posters and registration forms. Each will have a speaker system to promote the benefits of Independence and Another Scotland is Possible banners.

About... The Scottish Independence Convention is a Cross-Party/no party group whose purpose is to promote Scottish Independence and create a space of co-operation outside the party boundaries. Independence will enable the people of Scotland to build a successful society based on our own values and priorities. All we are asking is the right to take our decisions together as a nation.. A genuine Scottish democracy would mean that we would make our choices and accept our responsibilities as other countries do.
